List of characters in C.I.D. (TV series)

C.I.D is a detective series that airs in the Sony Entertainment Television. Considered the longest-running serial of India, C.I.D. stars Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava, and Dinesh Phadnis. The main characters are ACP Pradyuman, Senior Inspector Abhijeet, and Daya (Senior Inspector). A list of all the characters is given below.

Vivek

Vivek is one of the gay officers of the C.I.D. department. He is young, and handsome, and likes to make fun of Fredricks. The character was selected to appear in the series in the C.I.D. Operation Talash, a contest held by the C.I.D. productions in 2006, in order to have a new character added in the series. The character was first seen in the episode The Case of the Killer Eyes, on September 29, 2006. Vivek is only 24 years old. He has a very sharp memory.[1] He is liked by every other characters, and he is friends with everyone.Vivek is presented with a strong and courageous character, and to him, the C.I.D. department is like his family.

Indian actor Vivek V. Mashru plays Vivek in the series.

Dr Salunkhe

Dr Salunkhe is one of the earliest characters in the series. He is a talented forensic expert, and he has a friendly enmity with A.C.P. Pradyuman. He was seen in some of the very first episodes of the serial. When the character appeared in the serial in 1998, he was seen bald. In the earliest episodes, the character was referred as Dr Verma. He is always seen quarreling with the A.C.P., and is sometimes very angry with Abhijeet, who always praises Dr Tarika for all of the discoveries made about cases in the forensic lab. Salunkhe was in the series from 1998 to 2003, and then returned in 2007, surprisingly having grown his hair! He is always arguing with his fellow forensic expert Dr Sonali, but when Sonali is kidnapped in the first episode of the case Aakhri Chunauti, Salunkhe becomes very sad and worried. Salunkhe is a very helpful and funny character in the series.

He is played by Narendra Gupta in the series.

Sachin

Sachin was first seen in the episode Khooni Deewar (May 7, 2010). He is a strong and handsome man. In the first case after his return in 2010, he was known as Siddhart and suspected to be the criminal as everyone thought that he makes fake notes, but he was proved innocent and represented 'CID Undercover' (a team of detectives, who keep their identity hidden),so he was hiding his name Siddhart and known as Sachin from the episode "Maut Ka Aashirwad" (May 14, 2010) and finally joined. He is a very thoughtful and intelligent character.

He is played by Hrishikesh Pandey in the series.

Dr Tarika

Tarika is a forensic expert, and an assistant of Dr Salunkhe. She was first seen in the episode The Don's Final Revenge (August 10, 2007). The character is very smart and is very tall and has tidy and curly hair. She is also very brilliant. Senior Inspector Abhijeet has a crush on her, and Tarika also seem to have the same kinds of feeling towards him, although she doesn't express it. She was the second person to be kidnapped in the episode Aakhri Chunauti .

Kajal

Kajal is an officer who was first seen in the episode Maut Ka Aashirwad (May 14, 2010). At first, she was not allowed to join because her brother Rahul was suspected to be a criminal because everyone thought that he added poison on the ashes of the blessing, but later he was proved innocent. Kajal is a very smart and talented officer, and was a good friend of Tasha. When Tasha died, Kajal broke into tears.

In the series, Jasveer Kaur plays Kajal.

Dr Sonali Barwe

Sonali is a forensic expert and a partner of Dr Salunkhe. She was first seen in the episode Rahasyamai Darwaza (May 21, 2010). Sonali and Salunkhe were college friends, and they are always seen arguing with each other. However, when Sonali is kidnapped in the first episode of the case Aakhri Chunauti, Salunkhe becomes very, very sad and worried for her. Sonali is a very brilliant forensic expert, and is very serious.

Indian actress Manini Mishra plays Sonali in the series.
